Volunteers loved the "debut" Tamjdem at
Divadlo Continuo, which took place last February. Obviously Divadlo Continuo love Tamjdemers too, as they invited us to work, play and have fun not for one, but for two weekends this autumn.

Back from a weekend with
Tamjdem and InBaze Berkat! We arrived by bus in a little Czech village in southern Bohemia and walked towards our new home for the next two nights, Berkat. This stove-heated castle was once a country estate, then Communists used it as a dormitory for workers at the nearby state farm, and now in the hands of a warm-hearted organization. InBaze assists migrants with their integration into Czech culture so they may call it their home. This program offers a hand back into its surrounding community by representing the cultures of its foreign migrants through festivals and food. Strong women, mothers and children are other groups recognized by InBaze.

At the weekend
15.-17.10.2010 we went for the third time in this year to the beautiful village of Ždárec u Skutče where
Šrí Devrípudží Ashram of Yoga in daily life is situated. We started our Autumn weekend quite unconventional way – we met in a small pub where we made a acquaintance of some villagers.

For the third time, a Tamjdem took place in České Kopisty - a village at the banks of Elbe which hosts
the only Camphill community house for handicapped in the Czech Republic. Fifteen of us came to help at the autumn thanksgiving fair.

My
first Tamjdem started at the fountain of Černý Most. Directly approached by two girls who I had mistaken for being Czech they told me they are from Ukraine and Germany, two EVSers excited to join their first Tamjdem as well! In a few minutes all others arrived. A lot of nationalities presented!
Czech Republic, Slovak, Ireland (or to be more impressive) China, Spain, The Netherlands and as mentioned earlier Ukraine and Germany. We took the bus to Sklenařice and got of at Mexiko station. We walked up the hill to the house, our working place with swimming pool.

Toulcův Dvůr it's an ecological farm in the outside part of Prague. They have a big land there where many kinds of animals live and plants are planted. We decided to go there on the weekend 12. – 14. of March on Tamjdem for giving them a helping hand. Except of Toulcův dvůr we had another partner organization – YEE (
Youth and Environment Europe).

I say theater…and you probably recall an urban building with beautiful interior design…people sitting in elegant dresses…watching in silence whats happening on the stage… This is not exactly the case when it comes about
Continuo Theater. The ensemble left the city in 1995, and since then their home and creative studio is in the village of Malovice. On their farmstead called Plum Courtyard,
members of the theater live in caravans, or as they say, “maringotkas” (Czech). They are alternative in many other ways. For instance, the ensemble prefers to stage performances in “odd” spaces: parks, yards of old houses and historic buildings. What’s more - as volunteers had the chance to experience a bit during the last Tamjdem - they don’t like passive, “consumer” audiences!
Ášram (Center of Yoga in daily life) - it's a place in
Žďárec u Skutče where you can be disconnected of the normal life and practice yoga and meditations, also change your meals habits and forget about meat, and drink many kinds of tea…as we did during our Tamjdem.
For the first Tamjdem of the year, we went to the suburb of Ostrava to one of the
Duha local group called Duha Wings. The aim of this weekend was to decorate a big room where is running one project of
Duha Wings called Klub Ulice. Every working day children from 8 to 15 years old usually spend their afternoon there playing table tennis and surfing the internet.
