Project “Information on Rainbow Youthwork”

Information on Rainbow Youthwork is a project which wants to contribute to spreading out the information about international possibilities for youth within the Voluntary Service Programme in Duha (mainly YOUTH Programme-EVS and youth exchange, workcamps, training courses). The project focuses at attractive youthwork, which is done by our youth association in cooperation with our international partner, and communication with potential volunteers. The project provides space to get new experiences while working with volunteers in order to understand the specifics of volunteering on local and international level.

Who we are looking for and what we offer:

The volunteer will get involved especially in coordination of the national – international dimension. As such the tasks are mainly related with the international workcamps and long term projects.

  • Communication with volunteers.
  • Assistance during placement procedures.
  • Preparation of workcamps, pre-departures training for volunteers, taking part at camp-leader training
  • Coordination of summer workcamps.
  • Follow-up of workcamps (evaluation with volunteers, photo exhibition, reunions of volunteers,…)
  • Preparations of trainings, seasonal meetings and seminars
  • Promotion of Trochujinak program
  • To support for volunteers looking for long term project
  • To support  national and international activities run by the central Duha office
  • To develop an independent project according to her/his interest
  • To help to update and maintain the contacts for volunteers

Profile required:

  • Basic communication skills in English
  • Open minded and social
  • Willing to know and get integrated in a new culture
  • Be prepared to work independently as well as in a team
  • Basic computer skills

We offer:

  • Accommodation: one room in a common share flat
  • Allowance for food: cca 130 euros = 3500 CZK (depending on exchange rate)
  • Pocket money: 95 euros as stipulated for Czech Republic
  • Transport

  • Possibility to take part in international (or national)  seminar or training according to volunteers preferences
  • Czech language course during whole project (in case volunteer will have good knowledge of Czech language s/he can attend clases of language of her/his choice)
